Position Summary: 

Under the direction of Warehouse Manager, packs and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, and loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Pick orders from stock or from staging area with use of hand held scanners.
2. Prepare product for shipping to customers.
3. Ensure customer order and products selected are correct; box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary.
4. Contact common carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements.
5. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials.
6. Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct.
7. Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
8. Place incoming materials into storage with all UPC’s and proper labeling applied.
9. Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed.
10. Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier.
11. Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
12. Participate in Kitting and Fulfillment projects to meet customer deadlines.
13. Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Education:

• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Proficient mathematical skills that include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems is a plus.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience and fluency with NetSuite or comparable ERP system desired.
