Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Hose Technician to join our manufacturing and maintenance team. The Hose Tech will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing hydraulic and industrial hoses to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations. This role is vital in supporting our commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality hose products that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of industry standards to contribute effectively to our operations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hoses using hand tools, schematics, and technical drawings while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process, utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
• Perform non-destructive testing methods to verify hose integrity and compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Utilize surface mount technology techniques for precise component placement when applicable.
• Collect data during inspection and testing phases to support quality assurance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and inspection reports.
• Use analysis skills to identify potential defects or deviations from specifications and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all hoses are assembled with proper fittings, couplings, and end connections according to schematics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements related to assembly or testing procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience with manufacturing processes involving hose assembly or similar mechanical components.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with schematics and technical diagrams.
• Experience with surface mount technology is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to hose fabrication and testing.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments.
• Ability to perform soldering when required for component assembly.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods for evaluating product integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills for troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately and work efficiently within established procedures.
