1st Shift Forklift Operator

Located in Middleton, WI

Salary: $19.50/hr

Express has immediate openings on 1st shift in Middleton, WI with a foam manufacturing company, working in a forklift operator position. 

 

Job Summary

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential required function of this position.
• Responsible for thorough knowledge and application of materials and production techniques of foam manufacturing, process/quality controls and quality assurance to processing and quality product specifications.
• Cuts large scrap foam blocks into usable pieces and transports slabs to Rebond area.
• Operates cut saw, tilt and powered rack conveyors during pouring operations.
• Cuts samples on sample saw for lab technician to test.
• Inspects, measures and tests airflow of foam blocks during production. 
• Communicates quality issues to crew members as they appear.
• Programs and operates bun labeling printer according to production schedule.
• Performs regular blade replacement on reciprocating saw.
• Helps organize warehouse and foam inventory using forklift/clamp truck.
• Moves foam blocks out of storage racks by operating rack conveyors and forklift.
• Maintains a safe and orderly work area.
• Performs a variety of general clerical functions such as compiling reports, sorts and files records, maintains files and records, and record data as needed. 
• Participates in improvement projects and activities
• All other duties as assigned.
• Converse effectively with the English language for receiving instructions and communication.

Work Environment: 

 

This job operates inside and outside, including hot and cold temperatures, as well as inclement weather conditions.  Workers may be subject to atmospheric conditions that may affect an individual’s respiratory system or skin.  Safety apparel, such as full rain suit, face shield, respirator, and gloves, must be worn at certain times.

 

Requirements:

• MUST speak English
• Steel toed shoes/boots are required
• Previous forklift operations required
• Good communication skills/ability to follow a production schedule
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

 

Pay rate $19.50/hour
