Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity through cycle counting, auditing transactions, investigating discrepancies, and supporting material flow throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have SAP experience, strong analytical skills, and prior inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform inventory audits and make necessary adjustments to maintain inventory accuracy
-Conduct and monitor cycle counts, recounts, and inventory reporting activities
-Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
-Utilize SAP to review transactions, research inventory issues, and process inventory adjustments
-Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and stocking of materials according to company procedures
-Maintain inventory master data and optimize material storage locations and bin sizing
-Read drawings and blueprints to verify material identification and specifications
-Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and sidewinder forklifts
-Support MRB processes and inventory verification requests
-Assist with inventory sell-off and surplus inventory activities
-Train team members on cycle count procedures and inventory best practices
-Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
-Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED required
-Previous inventory control experience required
-SAP knowledge and experience strongly preferred
-Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
-Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
-Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred
-Strong computer skills including RF scanners and inventory management systems
-Ability to research, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
-Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Work Environment:
-Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment
-Exposure to machinery, equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
-Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
-Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
-PPE required at all times
