Metal Worker Helper 1st Shift

Located in Port Orchard, WA

Overview:
A local manufacturing company in Port Orchard is hiring a Production Worker to support daily operations in their steel and wood processing facility. This role works closely with Production Leads and the Production Manager to produce custom materials using various equipment. Great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on work and being part of a team that takes pride in quality results.

JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:

• Read and interpret production schedules and work orders
• Operate saws, rolling equipment, drills, punches, grinders, and other machinery
• Process steel and wood materials based on drawings and blueprints
• Inspect materials before, during, and after production to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete required paperwork for inventory and production tracking
• Report defective materials or equipment issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety rules

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, jib cranes available at most workstations
• Ability to read a measuring tape accurately
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation with consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and temperature changes

Hours/Shift:
Full time, 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay:
$19-$22 per/hour DOE
