Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Laser Swiss Machinists for multiple shifts with a growing precision manufacturing company. This role is responsible for the safe setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Citizen Laser Swiss lathes and related equipment used to produce high-quality medical device components.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience operating production machinery, reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring tools, and working within tight specifications and tolerances.

 

Available Shifts:

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM
Includes shift differential

3rd Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
Includes shift differential

4th Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
Includes shift differential

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Citizen Laser Swiss lathes and other production machinery safely and efficiently

Set up and run machines according to prints, specifications, and production requirements

Produce parts within established specifications and tolerances

Inspect machined parts using precision gauges and inspection equipment

Ensure parts meet quality, cosmetic, and functional requirements

Interpret engineering drawings, documentation, and GD&T requirements

Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and rejected part records

Inspect equipment prior to use to confirm proper setup and alignment

Perform routine adjustments, maintenance, and preventative maintenance tasks

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Follow FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards

Support continuous improvement and other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of related machining or manufacturing experience required

Experience with Citizen Laser Swiss lathes preferred

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

Good understanding of GD&T

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to quickly learn production equipment and processes

Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP compliance preferred

Ability to follow OSHA and environmental safety regulations

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or related software

 

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree or completion of a related apprenticeship program preferred

On-the-job training may be considered in place of formal education requirements

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Ability to use hands to handle tools, objects, and machine controls

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time

Must have visual acuity to read instructions, operate machinery, and inspect finished parts

Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time

 

Work Environment:

Temperature-controlled manufacturing environment

Moderate noise level

Exposure to moving mechanical parts

May include sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable
