Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Apartment Make-Ready Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shreveport, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing maintenance repairs, painting, cleaning, and ensuring each unit meets move-in standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic. Typical make-ready responsibilities include painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing and electrical work, appliance maintenance, and general unit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new resident move-ins.
• Complete painting, drywall patching, and touch-up work.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, leaks).
• Perform basic electrical repairs (switches, outlets, light fixtures).
• Replace blinds, locks, hardware, filters, and smoke detector batteries.
• Install or repair appliances as needed.
• Complete unit inspections and report major maintenance issues.
• Assist with property upkeep, grounds maintenance, and other maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, make-ready, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Pay & Schedule

• $16.00 per hour
• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday
• Occasional overtime may be available.
