Parts Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parts Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of automotive parts, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Duties
•    Lead the procurement process by sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating pricing, and managing supplier relationships to secure quality parts at competitive prices.
•    Oversee inventory management using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and order management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
•    Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely shipping & receiving, warehouse management, and accurate order fulfillment.
•    Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge to verify part specifications and assist with automotive service needs.
•    Implement demand planning strategies based on dealership activity, historical data, and market trends to forecast future parts requirements.
•    Manage warehouse operations including inventory control, storage organization, forklift operation, and equipment repair to maximize efficiency.
•    Maintain detailed records through data entry in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), AS400 systems, and other software platforms for accurate tracking of parts movement and procurement activities.
•    Provide exceptional customer service by supporting internal teams with technical advice on OEM parts, pricing inquiries, and sourcing solutions for auto body repair or HVAC systems.
Requirements
•    Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of procurement management and inventory control.
•    Hands-on knowledge of automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, and OEM parts sourcing.
•    Familiarity with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification.
•    Experience working with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms; proficiency in CMMS is a plus.
•    Strong negotiation skills paired with the ability to develop effective supplier relationships for sourcing quality parts at favorable terms.
•    Mechanical aptitude combined with data entry skills to accurately process purchase orders and maintain detailed records.
•    Excellent customer service skills to support dealership teams with technical advice and parts availability inquiries.
•    Knowledge of logistics processes including demand planning, procurement strategies, and shipping & receiving workflows.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently; dealership experience is highly desirable.
