Office Manager

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Office Manager for a busy scrap metal recycling company. This role is responsible for overseeing daily office operations, supporting administrative staff, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping while coordinating with yard personnel, customers, and vendors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative staff
  • Process invoices, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Maintain accurate records for scrap purchases, sales, inventory, and transaction documentation
  • Coordinate with scale operators, yard staff, and drivers to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Assist customers and vendors by handling inquiries and resolving issues
  • Support HR functions including onboarding, scheduling, and employee records
  • Prepare reports, assist with budgeting, and track financial information
  • Order office supplies and maintain vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable scrap metal regulations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of office management or administrative leadership experience
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, logistics, or a similar industrial environment preferred
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP or scale software experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
