Hay Baler /Basic Level Technician

Salary: $18–$25/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tractors, balers, stackers, loaders, and delivery trucks safely and efficiently
• Perform hay baling, stacking, loading, and transport
• Conduct daily equipment checks (oil, fuel, inspections)
• Perform basic maintenance including greasing, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues to supervisors
• Lift 50–75 lbs regularly (more with assistance)
• Assist with general farm labor as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous farm, equipment operation, or mechanical experience preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in heat, dust, and changing weather
• Strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
