Mechanical Drafter - St Gabriel - D194

 

Are you an experienced Mechanical Drafter with a passion for precision and problem-solving? We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll create and revise fabrication drawings while working alongside engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Create and revise detailed mechanical fabrication drawings.
• Review drawings to ensure they meet customer specifications and fabrication requirements.
• Interpret customer specifications and engineering calculations.
• Incorporate revisions and perform final drawing checks before release to production.
• Utilize ASME/TEMA standards, drafting best practices, and shop fabrication knowledge.
• Ensure drawings contain all required material and fabrication information.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production.

What We're Looking For

• Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of mechanical drafting and/or design experience in a fabrication environment.
• Experience producing drawings.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
