A precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced OD/ID Grinder to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate OD/ID (Outside Diameter/Inside Diameter) grinding machines.Grind precision components to blueprint specifications and required tolerances.Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.Perform machine adjustments, wheel dressing, and routine equipment maintenance.Monitor part quality and make necessary adjustments throughout production.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.QualificationsPrevious experience operating OD/ID or cylindrical grinding machines.Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances.Experience using precision measuring instruments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.Ability to work independently while meeting production goals.Stable work history and dependable attendance preferred.Preferred ExperienceManual and/or CNC grinding experience.Experience working to close tolerances.Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and wheel dressing.Familiarity with GD&T is a plus.
