Returns Processing Associate
Pay Range: $19-$20
Location: Brea, CA
Job Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented warehouse associate to own our returns processing operation for our .com and Amazon businesses. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays organized under volume, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive and log all inbound return shipments
- Open and inspect returned products to assess condition, completeness, and functionality
- Make grading decisions on each unit following defined criteria: resellable, refurbish/repackage, or discard
- Flag recurring damage patterns or product issues that may signal a fulfillment or product quality problem upstream
Inventory Management
- Maintain a running inventory log of all returns (spreadsheet or WMS) including SKU, condition, quantity, source (Amazon vs .com), and disposition
- Keep the returns area clean and always organized
- Track return rates and write simple weekly summaries of volume processed, units recovered, and units written off
Outbound Fulfillment & Replenishment
- Repackage and prepare inventory for outbound replenishment shipments to Amazon and other channels as needed
- Build and process outbound shipments, including carton counts, weights, and labels
- Coordinate with internal team to schedule and execute Amazon reshipment and inventory replenishment
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate, properly documented, and sent on time
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse or inventory experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Amazon FBA prep requirements is a big plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets for basic data entry and tracking
- Self-starter who can manage their own workload and prioritize without constant direction
- Reliable, punctual, and takes ownership of their area
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
