Salary: $20+/hr DOE
Hours: 1st shift hours. May depend on scheduled jobs. Company is usually flexible with scheduling.
Location: Based in York. Home everyday.
Driving Responsibilities
• Safely operate DOT-regulated company vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Transport furniture, household goods, office equipment, and other items to customer locations.
• Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
Moving & Labor Responsibilities
• Load and unload furniture, appliances, boxes, and other customer belongings.
• Properly wrap, pad, and secure items to prevent damage during transport.
• Assist with packing and unpacking services as needed.
• Safely move items through homes, businesses, stairways, and other locations.
• Assemble and disassemble furniture when required.
• Follow company procedures to ensure efficient and damage-free moves.
Customer Service & Teamwork
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members.
• Work collaboratively with moving crews to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance while representing the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and comply with DOT regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move furniture, appliances, and other heavy items throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor for the duration of the shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid DOT Medical Card required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Previous commercial driving, moving, delivery, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to pass all company background, driving record, and employment screening requirements.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, take pride in customer service, and are comfortable combining commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on moving and labor duties.
