Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger entries.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead and support the monthly financial close process.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory transactions within Sage ERP.
  • Monitor inventory adjustments, transfers, and manufacturing transactions to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Coordinate with the external CPA by providing financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience performing complete month-end financial close.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Sage ERP 
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • General Ledger
    • Journal Entries
    • Financial Reporting
    • Inventory Accounting
    • Account Reconciliations
    • Fixed Assets
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions).
  • Experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with cost accounting.
  • Experience working with external auditors or CPAs.
  • Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
