Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Testing & Repair Technician to support advanced hardware troubleshooting, repair, and product improvement initiatives. This role requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing issues down to the component (chip) level and repairing circuit boards, cabling, and mechanical assemblies.

The ideal candidate will also contribute to improving testing processes, building test fixtures, and collaborating with engineering on product enhancements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware to the component (chip) level
  • Diagnose and repair:
    • Circuit boards
    • Cable assemblies
    • Mechanical components
  • Operate and utilize oscilloscopes and RF (radio frequency) test equipment
  • Troubleshoot and analyze RF circuit boards
  • Design and build test fixtures to improve efficiency and support automated testing
  • Learn and operate company-specific test equipment and systems
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to engineering for product and process improvements
  • Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) process end-to-end:
    • Evaluate returned products
    • Perform repairs and refurbishment
    • Prepare units for return shipment to customers
  • Accurately document:
    • Troubleshooting procedures
    • Repair actions
    • Technical findings using computer systems

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in electronics testing and repair, preferably at a senior level
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot to the component/chip level
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • RF testing and diagnostics
    • Soldering and rework of circuit boards
  • Experience repairing PCBs, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency with computer-based tracking systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building test fixtures or automated test setups
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
  • Background working with engineering teams on product improvements
  • Knowledge of quality control and failure analysis processes
