Equipment Mechanic / Small Engine Technician

Lafayette, LA | $15.00–$20.00/hr DOE | Full-Time

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic / Small Engine Technician in Lafayette, LA. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience and strong troubleshooting skills in outdoor power equipment and small engine repair.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment as needed

• Inspect equipment for damage, operating hours, and fuel levels

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment

• Diagnose mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

• Repair and maintain small engine and outdoor power equipment

• Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment required

• Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and gas-powered machinery required

• Previous mechanic/service experience in the outdoor power equipment industry required

• Basic equipment industry training preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must have own tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
