Schedule: Flexible Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of inventory control, warehouse, and supply management duties. Responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of supplies. Monitors stock levels, conducts inventory counts, maintains accurate records in inventory management systems. Provides customer service to internal departments and coordinates with vendors and staff to ensure the timely uniform measurements and availability of supplies necessary for agency operations.

Essential Job Functions:
Assists in receiving/distributing a variety of materials/supplies, including reviewing/verifying pick tickets, delivery bills of lading/invoices and comparing them to the materials/supplies received/distributed.
Maintains/updates inventory, including entering incoming/outgoing materials/supplies into databases and periodically conducting physical inventories.
Processes incoming and outgoing inventory with the appropriate documentation. Maintains, processes, and documents employee property inventory.
Ensures compliance with agency policies, safety regulations, and inventory control procedures.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent.
Must complete OSHA Warehouse Safety Course. Some office experience sufficient to have acquired skill and understanding of record keeping and data entry.

 

Physical Effort Required:
The work of this class primarily involves heavy work that involves constantly lifting, shoveling, and carrying 60 to 100 pounds on a regular and recurring basis and exerting 100 pounds of force on a frequent basis.

 

Working Conditions:
This class primarily works in a warehouse setting involving exposure to dust, moving equipment, heat/humidity, and a variety of chemicals. Some inmate contact may be required if work assignment is at the Jail Facility.
