We are currently recruiting for a Zünd Operator / Digital Cutter Operator on behalf of a growing custom manufacturing company in the Dundas area.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience operating CNC, digital cutting, print finishing, or automated production equipment who enjoys precision work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate a Zünd digital cutting system and related production equipment
• Load and position materials onto cutting tables
• Read and interpret work orders, production specifications, and drawings
• Set up cutting jobs using computerized software and machine controls
• Monitor machine performance and ensure accurate cuts and finished products
• Perform quality inspections and verify measurements throughout production
• Change blades, tooling, and machine settings as required
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform routine maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with production, design, and project teams to meet deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating CNC equipment, digital cutters, routers, die-cutting machines, or similar automated production equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and production specifications
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, and calipers
• Comfortable working with computers and production software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience in signage, display manufacturing, packaging, printing, woodworking, fabrication, or custom manufacturing is considered an asset

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
