Capital Equipment Technical Sales / Account Manager

An Edmonton client is seeking a Capital Equipment Technical Sales / Account Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an established sales territory across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The primary focus is Edmonton and surrounding areas with regular day trips; Southern Alberta travel occurs approximately 4–6 times per year, while Saskatchewan and Manitoba travel is rare (1–2 times per year or as needed) and may require occasional overnight stays.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while developing new business opportunities.
  • Actively prospect within industrial, manufacturing, health, and food & beverage environments to identify and qualify new business.
  • Manage a portfolio of 100+ customer accounts and build long-term relationships with plant managers, production teams, maintenance departments, and operational leaders.
  • Make a minimum of 10 outbound sales calls per day and maintain a consistent sales pipeline.
  • Prepare quotations, sales proposals, and presentations that demonstrate equipment capabilities and value.
  • Conduct on-site equipment demonstrations and provide technical sales support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer operations and recommend equipment solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal service and technical teams to support customers before and after the sale.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunities using CRM software.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience selling tangible equipment.
  • Hunter mentality with proven ability to actively prospect and develop new business within industrial, health, or food & beverage markets.

Hours & Compensation:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Six-figure earning potential, with earnings regularly exceeding $180,000 annually. This excludes mileage reimbursement and other expense-related payouts.
  • Vehicle allowance provided. 
  • Kilometre reimbursement for business travel.
