Inside Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Inside Sales team to achieve company sales objectives, contractor recruitment goals, and customer retention initiatives. This position oversees lead generation activities, contractor development programs, sales support functions, and daily team operations while ensuring exceptional customer service and alignment with company growth strategies.

The Inside Sales Manager serves as a key liaison between Inside Sales, Business Development, Outside Sales, Marketing, Credit, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive revenue growth, contractor engagement, and operational excellence.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

·         Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.

·         Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.

·         Establish performance expectations and accountability measures for all team members.

·         Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide ongoing feedback to improve productivity and effectiveness.

·         Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new Inside Sales personnel.

·         Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.

·         Develop and implement incentive programs, contests, and recognition initiatives to motivate performance.

Sales & Revenue Growth

·         Oversee the generation and qualification of new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead management, and contractor recruitment initiatives.

·         Monitor lead conversion activities to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.

·         Support contractor retention and account growth initiatives through proactive engagement and relationship management.

·         Partner with Outside Sales teams to identify opportunities and remove obstacles to closing business.

·         Analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to improve results.

Lead Management & Contractor Recruitment

·         Oversee the assignment and distribution of inbound and outbound leads.

·         Ensure timely follow-up on all lead sources, including website inquiries, Google Ads, trade shows, marketing campaigns, and call-in opportunities.

·         Manage contractor recruitment efforts, including prospecting, qualification, application processing, onboarding, and engagement.

·         Monitor contractor recruiting pipelines and ensure adequate contractor coverage in key markets.

·         Maintain accountability for lead response times and contractor communication standards.

Operational & Administrative Management

·         Ensure accurate and timely documentation of customer, contractor, and sales activities within the CRM system.

·         Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, sales scorecards, and recruiting metrics.

·         Monitor CRM compliance and data integrity across the team.

·         Oversee inventory management for sales samples, literature, promotional materials, welcome boxes, and contractor support kits.

·         Coordinate with the Credit Department regarding account setup, customer onboarding, and account approvals.

·         Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration

·         Partner with Sales Leadership to develop strategies for increasing contractor engagement, application volume, and sales growth.

·         Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and departmental planning activities.

·         Serve as a resource and escalation point for customers, contractors, and internal team members.


Qualifications

·         3+ years of experience in B2B sales, inside sales, sales operations, contractor relations, or a related field.

·         Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience preferred.

·         Strong understanding of lead generation, pipeline management, customer retention, and contractor recruitment.

·         Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·         Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.

·         Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

·         Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

·         Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

·         Ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes across departments.
