About the Opportunity

Our client, a family-owned and operated company in the vehicle transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, small-business environment where they can make a meaningful impact on day-to-day financial operations.

This position works closely with the Financial Controller and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow management, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting and administrative functions.

 

Please note: This is a full-time, in-office position. There is no work-from-home option or flexible schedule. The company is seeking an individual interested in a long-term opportunity.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Accounting & Financial Administration

  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Support the Financial Controller with cash flow management and financial reporting activities
  • Manage invoicing and monitor open orders
  • Process customer payments and maintain accurate payment records
  • Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Perform GST/HST reconciliations
  • Assist with order closing procedures and financial documentation
  • Work closely with carriers and customers to collect required paperwork and supporting documents
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records

 

Payroll & Administrative Support

  • Assist with driver payroll processing
  • Conduct order checks and confirmations
  • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries
  • Provide general office and administrative support
  • Support managers and team members with additional tasks as required

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role
  • Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with accounting software
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support a variety of business functions
