Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in Mississauga specializing in the design and production of high-quality structural signage, is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician on a temporary to permanent basis.

 

The Junior Maintenance Technician will support the maintenance and reliability of production equipment and facility operations. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience, along with a maintenance certification or a Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma.

 

This position will work closely within the Engineering team, contributing to equipment reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall production efficiency, while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working hands-on with machinery and wants to gain experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

 

 

What’s Offered

  • 26.00/hr. + (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on stationary machinery
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs and maintain service records
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely repairs
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team on equipment improvements and process optimization
  • Work closely with production staff to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Maintenance Technician certification or Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience working with stationary manufacturing equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge is considered an asset
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
