Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support a local property management organization serving residential communities throughout the Hampton Roads area. This position offers a variety of hands-on maintenance work, the opportunity to work independently, and the potential for a longer-term opportunity based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

Complete general maintenance work orders
Perform basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting
Repair and maintain appliances, ceiling fans, washers, and dryers
Prepare residential units for new occupants
Install smoke detectors and complete minor repairs
Document completed work using a mobile work order system
Communicate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are needed
Drive a company vehicle between assigned properties
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while working in occupied residences

Qualifications

Previous general maintenance or property maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license required
Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile applications for work orders
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing ladders
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfortable driving between multiple work locations throughout the day
