Sales Representative

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a growing local business in Mount Uniacke, NS.

This is a customer-focused sales role where you'll build relationships, identify customer needs, provide solutions, and help drive business growth. The majority of sales opportunities are generated through inbound inquiries, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and delivering exceptional service.

What you’ll be doing:

• Respond to inbound sales inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Build strong relationships with customers and industry partners
• Learn about customers' projects and recommend solutions that best meet their needs
• Prepare quotes, provide pricing information, and follow up on sales opportunities
• Qualify customer needs through thoughtful questions and active listening
• Focus on selling value, service, and solutions rather than competing solely on price
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities using CRM and computer-based systems
• Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience
• Consistently work toward individual sales and performance goals

 

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 6 months of sales experience in a customer-facing environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Outgoing, personable, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of clientele
• Confident, professional, and able to work independently
• Strong listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to learn, grow, and advance within the company
• Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, email, and other business software
• Results-oriented with a strong desire to meet and exceed goals
• Experience in construction, home improvement, building materials, or related industries is considered an asset but is not required

What Our Client Offers:

• Base salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year plus commission (total earning potential of $40,000 - $100,000+ annually)
