Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Production Coordinator to join our team. This is a pivotal role designed to support our shop foreman by managing production scheduling, delivery logistics, and essential documentation. You will act as the central point of contact between our detailing team, shop floor, and external jobsite superintendents to ensure the seamless fabrication and delivery of materials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Build and maintain a delivery schedule, coordinating material sequencing based on jobsite timelines and priorities.
  • Production Documentation: Generate shop orders, tags, and bills of lading as materials are released by detailers
  • Communication: Serve as the primary contact for jobsite superintendents to coordinate deliveries and resolve scheduling issues
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the shop foreman to distribute work across shop machines and manage delivery schedules
  • Logistics: Coordinate with internal drivers for daily deliveries within a 6-hour radius of our location
  • Site Visits: Perform rare jobsite visits only when significant issues arise

Required Skills & Experience

  • Industry Knowledge: 2–3+ years of experience in concrete construction is required. You must understand the fundamentals of concrete construction to speak the language of the field
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints is essential
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel) for data management and the ability to learn our industry-specific fabrication software (ASA)
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from shop floor staff to high-strung field personnel
  • Organization: High-level organizational skills to manage 20–25 concurrent projects
  • Language: Bilingual (Spanish) is a strong plus

  • Attention to Detail: You must ensure all quantities and takeoffs are accurate, as errors can be costly
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed and solution-oriented when dealing with high-pressure delivery schedules and field issues
  • Adaptability: Willingness to wear many hats and switch between tasks, such as estimating and detailing, as needed

 

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM (includes a one-hour lunch).
  • Friday: Early closure, typically by 1:00 PM
