About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Senior Maintenance Technician to lead daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and mentor junior technicians. This role offers a clear path to Maintenance Manager, with exposure to leadership, budgeting, and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
- Perform and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Conduct facility inspections and ensure timely issue resolution
Leadership and Team Development
- Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks
- Train and mentor junior technicians
- Step in for leadership when needed
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
Growth and Leadership Exposure
- Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and purchasing
- Track equipment performance and maintenance metrics using CMMS
- Support facility upgrades, planning, and efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience required
- 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience required
- High school diploma or GED required
- A 2-year technical degree or certifications (e.g., HVAC EPA Universal, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) are highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- CMMS experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders
- Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed
Work Environment
- Combination of office and hands-on work
- Exposure to equipment, mechanical systems, and active job sites
- On-site role (not remote)
