Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician | Facilities Maintenance Lead | Industrial Maintenance
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 DOE
Location: Southwest Austin, TX (On-site)

 

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Senior Maintenance Technician to lead daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and mentor junior technicians. This role offers a clear path to Maintenance Manager, with exposure to leadership, budgeting, and facility operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
  • Perform and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime
  • Conduct facility inspections and ensure timely issue resolution

 

Leadership and Team Development

  • Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Step in for leadership when needed

 

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

 

Growth and Leadership Exposure

  • Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and purchasing
  • Track equipment performance and maintenance metrics using CMMS
  • Support facility upgrades, planning, and efficiency initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience required
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A 2-year technical degree or certifications (e.g., HVAC EPA Universal, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) are highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • CMMS experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed

 

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and hands-on work
  • Exposure to equipment, mechanical systems, and active job sites
  • On-site role (not remote)
