Landscaping Crew Member – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Landscaping Crew Members to support outdoor maintenance and installation projects. This role involves maintaining residential and commercial properties through lawn care, irrigation support, and general landscape improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
• Assist with planting, mulching, and basic landscape installations
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Support irrigation system installation, inspection, and minor repairs
• Load and unload materials such as soil, plants, and tools
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Follow safety procedures while working with tools and equipment
• Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• Interact professionally with clients when on-site

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain)
• Physically active role requiring lifting, standing, bending, and walking
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
• Ability to operate or learn landscaping equipment safely
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
• Valid driver’s license preferred for crew support roles

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons

Preferred Skills

• Experience with irrigation systems
• Knowledge of basic plant care and maintenance
• Equipment operation experience (mowers, skid steers, etc.)
