Facilities Equipment Operator / Mechanic

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Equipment Operator / Mechanic to support the maintenance, operation, and repair of plant utilities and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring all systems function safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor, and maintain all utility systems and plant equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and components
• Install, relocate, modify, maintain, and repair equipment and systems as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance and operational activities
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and backup utilities
• Implement and support energy management and conservation programs
• Calibrate critical equipment and ensure all systems are operating in optimal condition
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues promptly

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• HVAC certification or technical training (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with energy management systems

Work Environment

• Industrial plant setting
• May require standing, lifting, and working around machinery
• Potential for on-call or after-hours work depending on operational needs
