Our client in Wilsonville is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Grinder to join their production team. This role focuses on precision grinding of machined components to meet strict quality and tolerance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual grinding equipment and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, or tool grinders) to finish metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards
• Perform basic machine maintenance and adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating manual grinding equipment preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Familiarity with inspection tools and quality checks
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or precision engineering environments
• Knowledge of metals and finishing processes
• Prior experience working with tight tolerances

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production setting
• Standing for extended periods
• Use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines required

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time: M-F 5 AM-01:30 PM
• $19/hr. to start raises based on performance
• Opportunity for overtime
