The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, organizing, and preparing raw materials and finished plastic products within the facility without the use of forklifts. Duties include loading and unloading materials by hand or with pallet jacks, staging materials for production, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping work areas clean and organized. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed and handled according to company safety and quality standards.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility using manual equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts)
  • Load and unload materials from containers, racks, or production lines
  • Verify and track inventory using basic documentation or scanning systems
  • Supply production lines with required materials in a timely manner
  • Inspect materials for quality and report any issues
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials (often up to 50 lbs)
  • Basic math and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
