Job Summary

Seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Leader to support plant operations and lead safety, health, and environmental efforts within the facility. This role is responsible for helping ensure the plant meets legal, company, and local safety requirements while promoting a strong “Zero Harm” safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or plant leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead safety programs, investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support safety, health, and environmental programs within the plant

• Help ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards

• Review safety processes and drive corrective actions

• Lead or assist with incident, near-miss, and root cause investigations

• Track safety data and ensure reporting is completed accurately and on time

• Promote employee engagement in safety meetings and “Zero Harm” initiatives

• Monitor plant safety practices and recommend improvements

• Communicate changes to safety procedures, policies, and management systems

• Review training activities to ensure compliance with safety standards

• Work closely with plant leadership, operations, maintenance, HR, and safety teams

• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and plant performance

Requirements

• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing or plant environment

• At least 18 months of plant leadership experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental practices

• Experience with audits, corrective actions, incident investigations, and safety compliance

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Must be able to work well with plant leadership, employees, vendors, and outside agencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Safety, environmental, technical, or engineering degree/certification

• NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, or OHSAS 18001 experience preferred

• Spanish speaking skills are a plus
