Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Pulper Operator to join our production team. The Pulper Operator is responsible for operating the bale pulper and related equipment to ensure proper pulp recipes, batch processing, and material flow for production. This position requires attention to detail, equipment monitoring, forklift operation, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Schedule

  • 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
  • 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
  • Rotates weekly between:
    • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Operate the bale pulper and related equipment to ensure accurate pulp recipes and batch processing.
  • Monitor equipment performance and production processes to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare, stage, and verify raw materials, including bales and rolls, according to production requirements.
  • Maintain proper furnish and material flow to support production schedules.

Material Handling

  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport raw materials and finished products.
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the production area as needed.
  • Verify materials and quantities prior to processing.

Equipment & Housekeeping

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Assist with forklift upkeep and daily operational checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete housekeeping duties within assigned areas.

Safety & Quality

  • Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to operate and monitor industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in batch preparation and material handling.
  • Ability to work a rotating day/night schedule.

Preferred

  • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Prior experience in pulp, paper, converting, or production operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
