Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various warehouse management systems. The Warehouse Associate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within the facility, supporting manufacturing and construction projects as needed.

Duties

  • Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment to meet customer and production demands.
  • Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory updates
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems.
  • Assist with construction or manufacturing-related tasks as required, including heavy lifting and assembly work.
  • Ensure proper packaging of products for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Support warehouse organization by maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and efficient storage practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution, manufacturing, or construction environments.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse.
  • Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order accuracy.
