POSITION SUMMARY

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Merchandise Processor to join a fast-paced retail and warehouse team. This role is responsible for receiving incoming merchandise, verifying shipments, processing inventory, and keeping products organized.

The warehouse typically receives approximately 6–8 pallets of retail merchandise per day. When warehouse activity is slower, this position will also assist as a Sales Associate, helping customers and supporting the sales floor.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a physically active environment, and willing to assist with both warehouse and retail duties as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive incoming merchandise shipments and unload using pallet jacks

• Process approximately 6–8 pallets of merchandise per day

• Use handheld scanning devices to scan and process inventory

• Enter product information into the inventory system (Retail Pro experience is a plus)

• Print and apply invoice/merchandise identification stickers to incoming products

• Match incoming products to purchase orders and invoices

• Count and verify items received for accuracy

• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods

• Maintain accurate inventory records and system updates

• Organize and stage merchandise in designated warehouse areas

• Assist with stocking and organizing the sales floor

• Work as a Sales Associate during slower warehouse periods

• Assist customers and provide friendly service when working on the sales floor

• Follow all warehouse and store safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous warehouse or inventory experience required

• Retail or customer service experience is a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift

• Comfortable standing, lifting, moving product, and working in a physically active environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with counting and data entry

• Basic computer skills and comfort using handheld scanning devices

• Retail Pro experience is a plus

• Comfortable assisting customers and working on the sales floor when needed

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
