CNC Machining and Metal Saw Operator

Location: Mississauga, ON

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Temp-to-Perm role.

Position Overview:

One of our clients is looking for a CNC Machining and Metal Saw Operator. The CNC Machining & Metal Saw Operator will support daily production by operating CNC equipment and industrial metal saws to cut, shape, and prepare metal components. This role is ideal for candidates with hands‑on mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery including setup, basic programming, tool changes, and adjustments
• Run metal cutting saws (horizontal/vertical band saws, cold saws) to cut raw materials to specified lengths
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company and manufacturing safety procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• A 2-3 year CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Experience operating industrial metal saws
• Ability to measure accurately and work within tight tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic G‑code editing or CNC programming knowledge
• Experience with overhead cranes or material‑handling equipment
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
