Metal Recycling Laborer / Material Sorter – 1st Shift

Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a dependable Metal Recycling Laborer / Material Sorter for a growing industrial facility. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors or in industrial environments, and being part of a team that supports recycling and material processing operations.

As a Metal Recycling Laborer, you will help sort materials, remove non-metal waste, assist with loading operations, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Sort trash, debris, and non-metal materials from recyclable metal products.
• Load materials into hoppers and metal trailers safely and efficiently.
• Use hand and power tools, including hammers and reciprocating saws, to separate and prepare materials.
• Assist with material handling and movement throughout the work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

• Ability to perform light lifting and general labor duties.
• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and moving materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely work around metal materials, trailers, machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Previous manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.

• Work gloves
