Reach Truck Operator

Located in Shepherdsville, KY

Salary: $18.00-20.00

Express Employment is currently seeking Reach Truck Picker Operators for a warehouse in Shepherdsville, KY. We have all shifts available. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a safe, efficient manner 

• Pick orders by selecting the correct items and quantities, then stage them for shipping 

• Put away inbound goods into designated high-bay storage locations, maximizing space utilization 

• Use RF scanners to record product movements and transactions in the Warehouse Management System 

• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of the reach truck and report defects or malfunctions immediately 

• Load/unload palletized freight from trailers or containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure loading 

• Participate in inventory counts/audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy 

• Replenish picking locations from bulk storage to ensure consistent product availability 

• Maintain a safe, organized workspace by keeping aisles and staging areas clear 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid reach truck/forklift certification and prior experience operating stand-up reach trucks 

• Warehouse safety knowledge (OSHA compliance, hazard recognition) 

• Spatial awareness and ability to maneuver precisely in narrow aisles 

• Attention to detail for accurate picking, stacking, and inventory control 

• Physical stamina for lifting (often up to 50 lbs) and repetitive tasks 

• Communication skills for coordinating with warehouse staff 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; often required to work weekends and shifts
