We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automobile Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on automotive repair and maintenance experience. Formal certifications are not required; however, extensive real-world experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles is absolutely essential.
This position is ideal for a mechanic who has developed their expertise through years of practical work and can confidently troubleshoot and repair vehicles with minimal supervision.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on various makes and models.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, and drivetrains.
Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid services, and inspections.
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle problems.
Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs and maintenance.
Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor performed.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Strong knowledge of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Experience with engine repair, transmission work, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Own set of mechanic tools preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience working in a professional automotive repair shop, dealership, or fleet maintenance environment.
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment.
Welding, fabrication, or diesel experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the day.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, grease, and varying temperatures.
