Purchasing Manager
Location: Moorefield, WV | Full-Time | On-Site
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a Direct Hire position.
We are hiring for a Purchasing Manager to help establish and support purchasing operations for a growing manufacturing organization in Moorefield, WV.
This position plays a key role in managing the procurement process, developing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely availability of quality materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and improvement of purchasing processes for the U.S. manufacturing facility
- Source and evaluate suppliers while negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Manage procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services to support production needs
- Partner with production, quality, and corporate teams to maintain efficient supply chain operations
- Monitor inventory levels to improve efficiency and optimize costs
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships aligned with company standards
- Evaluate supplier performance, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records using ERP systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, contracts, and supplier management
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Self-driven with the ability to manage priorities independently
- Positive, hands-on approach with strong teamwork skills
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
This position requires daily on-site presence in Moorefield, WV.
