CNC Machinists (1st and 2nd shift, 25 - 30/hr)

 

Premier manufacturing employer in Gainesville, FL has immediate openings for CNC machinists to support their growing sales.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and programming CNC machines, specifically Lathes and Twin-Turret Lathes, as well as knowledge of various materials and tooling. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality parts and components to meet customer specifications.

 

This facility is air-conditioned and has cutting edge and well maintained equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines
• Program machines using G-code and other programming languages
• Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet customer specifications
• Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
• Maintain machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC Lathe Machining
• Proficiency in programming and operating CNC Lathes
• Knowledge of various materials and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay rates in the $25-30/hr range depending on experience.  There is 1 opening on 1st shift and 3 on 2nd shift typically Monday - Thursday with some opportunity for overtime on Fridays as required.
