SolidWorks Drawing Technician / Designer

 

Job Summary:

Are you a detail-driven design professional with a passion for precision engineering? We're looking for an experienced SolidWorks Drawing Technician to join a hands-on team in Kendall, FL. In this role, you'll be at the heart of the manufacturing process creating, revising, and maintaining detailed engineering drawings that keep production moving. From assembly drawings and exploded views to revision-controlled BOMs, no two projects will look the same. Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, and Drawing environments), including creation of 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D models, assembly drawings, exploded views, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawing standards (ANSI, ASME Y14.5, ISO).
  • Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, castings, or welded assemblies; familiarity with PDM systems preferred.
  • Ability to generate accurate manufacturing drawings, revise existing documentation, maintain revision history, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of SolidWorks drafting/design experience with the ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Preferred experience in aerospace, hydraulic systems, heat exchangers, and mechanical assemblies; familiarity with machine shop and manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and meet deadlines.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full Time | Monday – Friday | 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 Per Hour D.O.E
