Software Engineer (Python)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong Python development experience to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions that support critical business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience building applications, working with relational databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Experience within the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred, as is hands-on application development experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python.
• Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and business applications.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and fellow engineers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support software deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the banking, financial services, fintech, or payments industry.
• Experience developing web or enterprise applications.
