Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location: Elgin, IL
Pay Rate: $17–$19/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday + alternating Saturdays
Employment Type: Full-Time

Summary

Our client in Elgin, IL is seeking a reliable Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will unload freight, pick orders, stock materials, and help maintain an organized warehouse using a sit-down gas forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse and yard
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Pick and stage orders based on work orders
• Stock and organize warehouse inventory
• Perform daily forklift inspections
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
• Follow all safety procedures
• Support general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
