IT Associates are responsible for supporting the daily operations of an organization’s IT systems and Network infrastructure. Typical duties include:

• Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and network issues and installation in a timely manner
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, network infrastructure, software applications, and peripheral devices 
• Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and maintaining system security 
• Performing regular system updates, backups, and database management 
• Maintaining inventory of IT equipment and ensuring assets are up-to-date 
• Assisting in IT projects, upgrades, and implementation of new technologies 
• Documenting technical procedures and providing training to staff on software and IT tools 
• Collaborating with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Typically a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields 
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of network configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, database management, IT security protocols, network implementation and onsite network construction
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, CCNA, or similar certifications are often preferred 
• Communication:  Professional interaction with onsite staff as well as Corporate Network IT management
