Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Primarily Tuesday - Saturday | Hours will vary based on business needs and seasonal demands
A growing hospitality group is seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to lead operations for a new dining and entertainment concept. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest experience, team leadership, and building a successful bar program from the ground up.
The Bar Manager will oversee daily bar operations, staff development, inventory management, and guest satisfaction while ensuring responsible alcohol service and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for both guests and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all daily bar operations
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop bar staff
- Create and maintain employee schedules to support business needs
- Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and product rotation
- Implement and maintain liquor controls to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Monitor beverage costs and support revenue goals
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar environment
- Address guest concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with restaurant leadership to support overall operational success
- Assist with special events, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
- Track operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bar management or bartending leadership experience
- Proven experience leading and developing hospitality teams
- Strong knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Experience managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and varying schedules as needed
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Required Certifications
- Current BASSET Certification required or ability to obtain certification prior to employment
Technical Skills
- Point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Inventory management systems
- Beverage inventory controls
- Standard bar equipment and operations
- Scheduling and labor management tools
