Leasing Assistant

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:45 AM - 4:45 PM

A respected property management organization is seeking a professional and customer-focused Leasing Assistant to support residential leasing operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a talent for organization, communication, and problem-solving.

The Leasing Assistant will play a key role in attracting prospective tenants, coordinating property tours, managing rental inquiries, and supporting the leasing process from initial contact through occupancy. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in property management and real estate.

Responsibilities

  • Advertise and market available rental properties across various platforms
  • Respond to rental inquiries and follow up with prospective tenants
  • Qualify applicants based on established rental criteria
  • Schedule and conduct tours of available properties
  • Assist prospective tenants throughout the leasing process
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, inquiries, applications, and leasing activity
  • Coordinate turnover efforts to help prepare units for new residents
  • Communicate regularly with office staff regarding leasing activity and property availability
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
  • Handle confidential tenant and applicant information with professionalism and discretion
  • Assist with administrative projects and special assignments as needed
  • Maintain organized documentation and leasing records

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computers and common office software applications
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

  • Leasing, property management, or real estate experience
  • Sales experience in any industry
  • Hospitality or service industry experience
  • Experience working directly with customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Administrative or office support experience

Licensing Requirements

  • Real Estate Leasing License required or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
  • Licensing course and sponsorship will be provided by the company
  • Candidates must be willing to complete licensing requirements as part of their long-term career development

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Clean driving record required
  • Reliable personal transportation required
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to travel locally to conduct property tours and support leasing activities
