Supply Chain Assistant

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

A well-established precision manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join its growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily supply chain, purchasing, inventory, and administrative operations within a fast-paced machine shop environment.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working directly with ownership, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and assist with material procurement activities
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments
• Verify receiving documentation and material paperwork
• Create and maintain job folders, material tags, and production documentation
• Process vendor invoices and assist with vendor payment documentation
• Enter and maintain employee time and attendance records
• Review and correct timesheets and production part counts as needed
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist walk-in visitors
• Manage emails and respond to requests for information from vendors, customers, and internal staff
• Maintain organized filing systems for purchasing, inventory, and production records
• Assist with inventory tracking and material management for various grades of metal
• Support pricing and purchasing activities while learning material specifications and costs
• Utilize ERP software to enter, track, and manage operational data
• Work closely with management and ownership on special projects and daily operational needs

Qualifications

• Previous ERP software experience is required
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems is strongly preferred
• Previous experience with ECI Software Solutions is a plus
• 1-2 years of office, administrative, purchasing, accounting, or manufacturing support experience required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience processing invoices, purchase orders, and business documentation
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience
• Understanding of inventory control and purchasing processes
• Experience reviewing blueprints and making basic adjustments when needed
• Knowledge of raw materials and metal products
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving measurements, weights, and conversions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
