Do you have a passion for supporting young children and the professionals who care for them? We are seeking a dedicated Program Support Specialist – Early Childhood to provide training, guidance, and professional development opportunities for early childhood educators throughout Northwest Missouri.

As a Program Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in strengthening the quality of care and education provided to children from birth to age 5 by equipping childcare professionals with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Deliver training and professional development to early childhood educators, including preschool teachers, daycare providers, and childcare professionals

✔ Ensure all training programs align with Missouri's early childhood priorities and best practices

✔ Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to training activities and program requirements

✔ Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance early childhood education across the region

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Child Development, Social Work, or a closely related field and at least 2 years of experience working with children birth to age 5

OR

• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and at least 3 years of experience working with children birth to age 5

Desired Skills

• Experience providing training, coaching, or professional development
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices
• Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities
• Ability to build positive relationships with childcare professionals

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel throughout the Northwest Missouri region, including:
Andrew, Atchison, Bates, Buchanan, Cass, Clay, Clinton, DeKalb, Gentry, Holt, Jackson, Nodaway, Platte, Vernon, and Worth Counties.
