We have an opening for a Quality Inspector position working at a contract manufacturing facility located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
*** CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A MIMIMUM (2) YEARS OF MECHANICAL INSPECTION EXPERIENCE ***
Skills/Qualifications
Must have a minimum of two years of mechanical inspection experience.
Must be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must exhibit a cooperative and flexible attitude.
Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability and willingness to work within deadlines consistently and with minimal supervision.
Ability and willingness to apply judgment and discretion were appropriate.
Ability to perform essential duties.
High school education or GED.
Duties/Responsibilities
Interprets engineering drawings and prints with multiple views in order to verify part/assembly compliance.
Uses basic measurement tools to complete inspections (i.e. calipers, tapes, micrometers, pin/plug gages, blocks, indicators, surface plate, etc.).
Performs receiving inspections on raw materials as required by established procedures.
Maintains records of inspections and analysis completed using quality forms and documents.
Verifies in-process audits are being performed and documented.
Follows and assists with implementation of all quality policies and procedures defined in the Matthews Industries Quality Policy Manual (QPM) as well as other company-initiated guidelines.
Performs work with a constant awareness of improving processes necessary for growth.
Communicates clearly and effectively both verbal and written.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
